Testing Scholarship

Big Sky SHRM offers a reimbursement scholarship to pay for the price of your exam if your employer will not do so. We are now accepting applications through May 31, 2024. If you are selected for the scholarship, you will be reimbursed for the exam fee once you have successfully passed the exam.

2024 Certification Scholarship

Eligibility for Scholarship:

• Must be first time having taken the HRCI SPHR/PHR or the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam.
• Cannot be for re-certification for SPHR after receiving PHR or SHRM-SCP after receiving SHRM-CP.
• Must be a local SHRM member and in good standing for at least one year prior to date of application.
• Your Company does not already pay for exam.
• Must pass exam for reimbursement award of scholarship.
• Deadline for submission of scholarship no later than May 31, 2024 for the First Test Window
  and by November 30, 2024 for the Second Test Window to allow enough time to prepare for and register.
• Scholarship will be randomly chosen from applications received.
• Must not be a member of the scholarship committee that decides on guidelines and draws the winner.
• Cost reimbursed will be based on cost of exam as a national member.

Big Sky Certification Study Group

Big Sky SHRM hosts a study group to get prepared for the next Certification testing period. Big Sky SHRM strongly supports its members in their efforts to achieve certification.
If you are an HR professional wanting to validate your professional achievement with a certification or a certified HR professional who must take the recertification examination to remain current, the Big Sky SHRM Study Group is for you

If you are interested in testing and would like to participate in the study sessions, you will need to have a 2024 Learning System available for use.  Big Sky SHRM has a group purchasing discount arrangement for the Learning Systems in the amount of $599 plus $30 for shipping.  This is a significant savings from the listed National SHRM Member price. For the print and online version, it is $1055 plus shipping.

Fall Study Group Dates: 8/29/24 - 12/3/2025

The SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams are offered during two windows each year.
When applying for the exam, you must apply during the application period that coincides with your testing window. 
Applications must be received by the standard deadline for each window.

First Test Window: May 1 - July 15, 2024

Exam application deadlines close at 11:59 PM, ET.

Second Test Window: Dec. 1, 2024 - Feb. 15, 2025
