Workshop Title: Workcomp 101
Presenter: Kellie Trudgeon, MS-IH, CSP
Bio: Kellie has been with Montana State Fund since 2016. She started her safety career at Montana Tech working in the Environmental Safety and Health department as the intern for two years and later going on to Copper Environmental Consulting in Anaconda where she managed safety on remediation management sites in Nevada and Colorado.
Kellie holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety & Health and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene both from Montana Tech. She is currently the Professional Development Coordinator for the Big Sky Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). Kellie Holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Workshop Description: We'll start with the foundational understanding of work comp 101. We will briefly walk through claims management, injury prevention strategies, and the importance of return to work programs. By understanding these components you'll learn how to create better outcomes for both your organization and its workforce call that ensuring a proactive approach to workplace safety and employee well-being.
