Workshop Description: Without your employees, your product or service (no matter how wonderful) has a “less than ideal” chance of survival and success. Given that your people are the most important and largest part of your business, this workshop looks at the Life Cycle of an Employee and focuses on how you can ensure a larger success percentage when it comes to recruiting, engaging, and retaining your team members. The process starts with examination of your culture and branding and provides tips and best practices along the way in all phases of the employee life cycle. You may discover gaps in your current processes and leave with tools that you can immediately incorporate into your organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize there is an employee life cycle similar to a business life cycle
  • Start with examination of your culture and your brand – it clearly impacts your ability to attract and retain top talent that fits in your organization
    • Define and identify five different culture types – Authoritarian, mechanistic, participative, learning, high performance
  • Examines fundamentals of recruitment to include the job description, where to look for new team members and provides good practices in interviewing all while having a strong presence of your organization with transparency
  • Provides tools about how to best engage employees as it aligns with your culture, philosophy and strategy
    • New employee checklists
    • Communications
    • Performance oversight
  • Offers multiple resources/ideas that encourage retention of team members
    • Understand correlation between employee engagement and well-being
  • Provides examples that can be immediately incorporated into an organization to improve the employee life cycle experience
    • Total compensation worksheet
